BAROLODAILY TOUR. A fascinating panoramic tour among Langhe Hills of Barolo, to discover ancient castles and the Barolo docg wine, well-known all over the world as the “King of the Wines and the Wine of the Kings”. A first stop at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, with its  medieval structure still perfectly preserved; here the famous statesman Camillo Benso, the Count of Cavour, spent many years of his life. The castle also houses an interesting museum dedicated to traditions and trades of Langa in the past. In the Regional Wine Shop placed in the ancient cellars you can taste and buy wines and some other typical products, as truffle-based creams and hazelnut biscuits. A second stop at the village of Barolo, the Capital of this important zone, with the Castle of Falletti Marquises. In the cellars there is the Regional Wine Shop of Barolo,  showing 180 different labels of this precious wine. After, entrance to the curious “Museo dei Cavatappi” (the Museum of Corkscrews), unique for variety and value of collections. You find more than 500 ancient corkscrews coming from all over the world built in different shapes, materials and colors. Lunch at restaurant with traditional local dishes menu. In the afternoon a walk in the village of La Morra, rich in history and panoramic glimpses, as the beautiful Baroque church of Saint Martino and the Civic Tower. From the big terrace you can a special panoramic view, reaching the Alps and the near towns of Liguria. The day ends with a stop at an important winery to visit the cellars and taste the local wines.

In the afternoon a guided tour of the castle of Grinzane Cavour and “Tenuta di Fontanafredda” historical winery. The winery is renowned all over the world for the production of the best wines from Langhe, especially the Barolo docg.  Its 100 hectares of vineyards were property of King Vittorio Emanuele II, who gave them to the famous Rosa Vercellana, nicknamed “Bella Rosin”, his favorite lover, later become the Countess of Mirafiori. Visit to the historical wine cellars and the modern wine-making machinery with wine tasting. Accommodation in an affiliated hotel, dinner and overnight. Day 2. Breakfast. Transfer to Barolo and visit to the famous Castle that hosts the Wine Museum, for a multi-sensorial tour discovering the world and the history of wine; a last stop at the Regional Wine Shop of Barolo. The trip finishes with a walk in the village of La Morra up to the panoramic terrace.
